Counseling

Welcome!

We are here to support students with social/emotional, postsecondary and academic success. Each student is assigned to an alpha counselor based on last name. Students can access their counselor several ways - stopping by in person, sending an email or using Calendly to schedule an appointment.

Vision Statement

Students will emerge from Arvada West with the knowledge, skills and attitude to navigate the diverse and global world of work and school. When encountering challenges, they will self-advocate and demonstrate coping skills to make safe and healthy choices throughout their lifetime.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Arvada West High School Counseling Program is to equitably provide data-driven, innovative services that develop and enhance academic, career, personal and social strengths in all students. By collaborating with stakeholders, including students, parents, staff and community members, we will form partnerships to better connect to our students and foster a positive school culture and climate. We will create an inclusive and safe learning environment to empower students to become resourceful, resilient self-advocates in a diverse and global community.
