Health Sciences Program
The goal of the Health Sciences Program at Arvada West is to expose students to various medical professions, provide opportunities to engage with industry partners in the field, earn certifications that will make them employable, and gain foundational knowledge of the medical field.
We offer courses in the Health Sciences Pathway under the categories of health, pharmacy technician and behavioral health. Students completing two years in any of these courses are considered completers of the pathway.
Health Sciences Pathway
Students will gain knowledge in human anatomy and physiology, as well as pathophysiology, or the way disease or injury affects body function.
Pharmacy Technician Pathway
This accredited program includes real-world coursework in pharmacology, law and ethics, technician duties and inventory management.
Behavioral Health Pathway
The Arvada West Behavioral Health Pathway prepares students for a career while providing college credit and work-based learning.
