The Special Education Department at Arvada West:

Mission
The Arvada West Special Education Department will increase independence in students who have exceptionalities by providing explicit instruction and guidance on self-advocacy which will allow for improved achievement and postsecondary workforce readiness.
Vision
The department will provide specially designed instruction based on evidence-based practices for students who have IEPs to ensure every student’s postsecondary goals are attained.
