FRIDAY, MARCH 17
Good luck to the following 3 students who will be representing AWest and heading to the Speech & Debate 4A competition today and tomorrow: Iris Crick, Thaddeus Berryhill, and Jeffrey Nelson-Gomez. Good luck Wildcats!
Prom is coming up on April 22nd!!
It is a privilege to attend activities such as dances at Arvada West HS. We have instituted a “dance window” policy to be eligible to attend dances. We are currently in the dance window for Prom through Friday, April 21st. In addition to no major discipline or behavior events this year, during this timeframe leading up to the dance the following must be true for students to be eligible to attend:
1. Fewer than 8 UNX Tardies
2. Fewer than 6 UNX Period Absences
3. No more than one Failing grade (includes Advisement & Study Hall)
Juniors & Seniors are invited to attend prom. Please reach out to your administrator regarding your eligibility to attend. If you would like to invite a guest who is an Arvada West 9th or 10th grade student, they too must meet the above guidelines and complete a guest form signed by their administrator noting that they are eligible. If the guest is not an AWest student, a guest form must be completed by their school's Administrator. All guest forms must be submitted by 3pm on Monday, April 17th. Each student is allowed to bring only one guest.
NO LATE GUEST FORMS ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON. Guest forms are available in the Main Office.
Are you interested in improv or just looking to play theatre games with your friends? Come to Improv Club during first rotation in the Auditorium.
Hello Seniors!
Do you speak a language other than what we teach here?
You can earn the Seal of Biliteracy by taking a few tests to prove it. The Seal of Biliteracy will come on your diploma and can show employers and universities that you are proficient in that language. Come and talk to Ms. Bonfoey or send her an email at [email protected] and tell her you are interested and to get more information by the end of March.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors, if you are interested in joining Link Crew and want to know more about what we do, please plan on attending an informational meeting Wednesday, March 29 from 3:05-3:20 in N210. Link Crew applications are NOW open and will close on April 7. Look for the purple flyers with the QR code or find the Link Crew Website on the AWest homepage. GO BIG!
Happy Spring Break! Enjoy your vacation!
