Neon Nights Winter Dance is Saturday, February 8th  from 7:00-10:00pm. Tickets are $10 and are available through your Jeffco Connect student fee account.  If you are bringing a guest to the dance who is not an AWest student you will need a dance permission form.  Pick one up in the Main Office.

Wish Week is approaching soon. See the link on the AWest homepage to order your Wish Week t-shirt and get more information on Wish Week activities and our Make-a-Wish child, Taylor.

Warren Tech students - please stop by the Main Office and get a WT sticker for your student ID card.


Grub Club Food Drive is here. Please bring in microwavable soup cups to your 3rd hour class. Help out Jeffco homeless and emancipated students to make sure they have food to eat.

Today is the last day to purchase a yearbook at the price of $65.  After today the price will increase to $80. See the Financial Office to purchase your yearbook

After Prom is running a shoe drive through March 13.  The shoes we collect will be kept from landfills and will help others in developing countries start micro-businesses that will create a sustainable income for their families.  And... raise some funds for our After Prom event. Drop off your shoes in the collection bin outside the Main Office. Every pair counts!

The student versus staff basketball game is February 3rd!  Would you like to play? Sign up now outside room N100.

Want to see a movie and eat pizza?  Join Student Voice on Tuesday, January 28 in room N112 at 3:30 to see Finding Dory and hear a speech from the ARC of Colorado.

Juniors, if you signed up to take the ASVAB test on January 9, it has been rescheduled for Friday, January 31.  More information is posted outside of the Main Office and the Library. Please see the posted signs for the test section you have been assigned to.

Registration is just around the corner. Next Thursday, January 30, we will have an AP/Electives Fair during the first two rotations of Connections.  Come and find out more about potential classes!

Arvada West High School is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for students interested in a teaching career!  The Teacher Cadet Program is an innovative class designed to attract talented young people to the education profession.  This class is a year long honors elective for juniors and seniors with hands-on curriculum including a field experience in an elementary or middle schools.  Come to an information meeting Tuesday, January 28th at 7:30 in room 135 to find out more.
