THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13

Sources of Strength quote of the week: “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures”.  Thornton Wilder

Spirit Week this week to celebrate our wonderful staff!  Today is Ugly Sweater Day and tomorrow is Role Swap Day (students as teachers and teachers as students).  Have fun!

Today is the last day for Angel Giving Tree. Gifts must be turned in by 3 pm today! Questions, see Mrs. Dryer in N202!

Link Crew Leaders, please report to either Ms. McCain or Mr. Studenny’s classroom today for our Cookies and Cram advisement tour.

Just a reminder from FCCLA that tomorrow is our last day that we will be accepting donations for families in need right here in Jeffco! If you or your family have any clothes, particularly warm winter clothing that you need to get rid of or would like to donate new personal hygiene items please bring them to room W140, W135 or our School Store. We will deliver these items this Friday.

Ms. DeAndrea and the Catering students want to thank all of you who stopped by the library earlier this week to tour the parade of gingerbread houses and voted on your favorite. Congratulations to Avery Leimbach and her Winter Wonderland creation for winning this year’s competition!

Student Voice is having a “Guess this Holiday” contest! We will read one fact about this mystery holiday each day this week and if you know what holiday it is and where it is celebrated, come down to the front office and turn in your answer for a chance to win a cool prize. On Friday we will announce the winner! This is our final fact: The country has a national broadcast called the Red vs. White Singing contest, where contestants compete against each other up until a half hour before midnight (a bit like American Idol).

The Chess Club final meeting of the semester is tomorrow during Office Hours in room N126. Make your move and stop by for a friendly game.

Final exams next week.  See website and classrooms for schedule.
