Homecoming Week is coming! Let’s have some fun! Spirit Days: Monday-Socks & Crocs or Birkenstocks, Tuesday-Anything but a Backpack Day (nothing living, walking, breathing, no bikes, nothing too big), Wednesday-DJ Khaled Day (Let’s go to the Beach, Go Golfing, Bring out the Yacht! No swimsuits), Thursday-Backyard BBQ (Soccer parent vs BBQ Parent), Friday-Class Colors Day: 9th white, 10th black, 11th purple, seniors Togas!
If you participate in Spirit Days you’ll get a treat. Wear your socks, crocs or Birkenstocks on Monday, stop and get a donut from Young Life. Not participating? No donut! On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, if you are wearing your spirit wear, you’ll candy as you walk in the door in the morning from student council.
ATTENTION FRESHMAN!!! Monday, Sept 25th is the Annual Freshmen BBQ. 3:30-5:00 at the Allen House. There will be food and games. Bring a white. 100% cotton shirt to tie-dye…create your own AWEST spirit gear! Wednesday we have Powder Puff football, 4-6, Band Field followed by our Homecoming Bonfire from 6-9 in the South parking lot. Friday is a 1-7 day with our Homecoming Assembly, Tailgate at the NACC from 5-6:30 followed by Wildcat football vs Chatfield. Kickoff is at 7:00pm. Go Cats!! Homecoming dance on Saturday from 7:30-11:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased through Infinite Campus Student Fee Account. - if purchasing as a student, you must use the GUEST LOG IN, please see QR code at main office front desk, counseling desk and outside financial office. Online ticket sales end on Wednesday, September 27 at 3:30pm. Please note that no tickets will be sold at the door. If you are bringing a guest who is not an Arvada West student you will need a dance permission form. Pick one up in the Main Office or online on the Homecoming page. Those forms are due by Tuesday, September 26, 3:30.
As a reminder next Tuesday at 3:30pm is the deadline to become eligible to attend the Homecoming Dance. Please use ACCESS today and next Tuesday to get your grades up then go see your Administrator to remove you from the No-Go list.
Powder Puff permission forms are due today. Please drop them off in N100.
Tickets are now available for Arvada West Theatre Company’s fall play, “The Lost Boy”. Tickets are $10 and they are available at showtix4u.com. Performance dates are October 12-14, 7:00pm. Don’t miss out.

Hispanic Heritage month continues today with Sonia Sotomayor. She became the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice in the United States. Sotomayor has been outspoken about how her unique experience as a Latina has contributed to her work as a judge. She went to Princeton and has a law degree from Yale University.
Coding club will have a meeting on Tuesday in W121 during Advisement. Come join us!
Pickleball players: We will play Monday, September 25 from 4:15-5:30 pm at the APEX courts on 82nd and Simms. Check your email for the sign-up form OR see Mrs. Kramer or Mrs. Redford to rsvp. We will play a mixer format.
